May 2021 Announcements and Updates

The latest seasonal allocations for May 2021 have been announced by the Storage Manager.

Inflow to reservoirs during April remained well below average. However, evaporation losses were again slightly lower than the Storage Manager’s conservative estimates, resulting in a small resource improvement. This has enabled a further 1.4 Gigalitres to be allocated to the System Reserve. Bulk entitlement rules require a total of 15 Gigalitres to be allocated to the System Reserve once Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline Product entitlements reach 57% allocation.

Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline Product allocations remain unchanged at 57% and Glenelg River Compensation Flow entitlement remains at 1% allocation. No allocation has been possible to Recreation, Wetlands or Commonwealth Environmental entitlements.
