The latest seasonal allocations for March 2022 have been announced by the Storage Manager.

The month of February was very dry, with below average rainfall recorded at all reservoirs. A very small improvement in the volume available for allocation resulted from evaporation during February being slightly lower than the Storage Manager’s conservative estimate.

The volume allocated to the System Reserve increased from 14,150 megalitres to 14,500 megalitres this month. Bulk entitlement rules require a total of 15,000 megalitres to be allocated to the System Reserve once Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline Product entitlements reach 57% allocation. Allocations for Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline Product entitlements remain at 57% this month, and the Glenelg River Compensation Flow entitlement remains at 1% allocation. No allocation has been possible to Recreation, Wetlands or Commonwealth Environmental entitlements.
