Allocations for September 2018 have been announced by the Storage Manager.
Despite below average inflows over the past month, sufficient inflow has been received for Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline Product to increase by 22% this month to have a 39% allocation. Glenelg Compensation Flow has also received a 1% allocation. No allocation has yet been possible to Recreation entitlement, Wetland entitlement or Commonwealth environmental entitlement.
A September update on Reservoir Operations is also now available.
The Storage Manager has this week commenced a transfer of water between Rocklands Reservoir and both Taylors Lake and Toolondo Reservoir. These transfers will occur concurrently, and see 3,000 to 4,000 ML transferred to Taylors Lake, and 5,000 ML transferred to Toolondo Reservoir. The Storage Manager has released its Annual Operating Plan for the 2018-19 water year. A quarterly operating plan supplement for July to September 2018 accompanies the annual plan, and looks specifically at reservoir system operation this 3-month period. Opening Allocations for July 2018 (2018-19 water year) have been announced by the Storage Manager.
Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline Product received a 9% allocation, with no allocation able to be made to Glenelg Compensation Flow, Recreation entitlement, Wetland entitlement or Commonwealth environmental entitlement. Opening allocations are reflective of inflows to reservoirs during June having been below average.
The Storage Manager has also declared a Low Risk of Spill for the Wimmera-Glenelg system during the 2018-19 water year.

The June 2018 Assessment has been announced by the Storage Manager. The Grampians headworks system has received 310 ML of inflow. Rainfall has exceeded evaporation for the month of May. Due to conservative estimates of the losses forecast for May compared to what actually occurred, the System Reserve has increased by approximately 4,080 ML and is now 43,856 ML. The System Reserve must reach 45,000 ML before further allocation can be made to entitlements this season.
The April 2018 Assessment has been announced by the Storage Manager. As a result of warm and dry conditions experienced during March, there has been no increase in water available or the System Reserve this month. The System Reserve remains at 39,500 ML, and must reach 45,000 ML before further allocation can be made to entitlements this season.
