The Storage Manager has released the fourth quarterly operating plan supplement for April to June 2021. This supplement accompanies the Annual Operating Plan and looks specifically at reservoir system operation over the upcoming 3-month period. The latest seasonal allocations for April 2021 have been announced by the Storage Manager.
Inflow to reservoirs during March remained well below average. However, evaporation losses were slightly lower than the Storage Manager’s conservative estimates, resulting in a small resource improvement. This has enabled 1 Gigalitre to be allocated to the System Reserve. Bulk entitlement rules require a total of 15 Gigalitres to be allocated to the System Reserve once Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline Product entitlements reach 57% allocation.
Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline Product allocations remain unchanged at 57% and Glenelg River Compensation Flow entitlement remains at 1% allocation. No allocation has been possible to Recreation, Wetlands or Commonwealth Environmental entitlements.

Recreational water users are advised to avoid direct contact with water following the detection of elevated blue-green algae levels.

Inflows to reservoirs during October (29,100 ML) were near average, reflecting around 50% of the total inflow received since July. This volume of inflow has supported a strong increase to Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline product allocations this month.
The allocation for Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline Product entitlements has increased from 21% to 48% this month. Glenelg River Compensation Flow entitlement has received a 1% allocation. No allocation has been possible to Recreation, Wetlands or Commonwealth Environmental entitlements.
